Applications are open until 13 August 2024 for the IRCSS school
The School of Interdisciplinary Research in Cognitive and Social Sciences (IRCSS) will be held from 25-27 September 2024 in Saint Petersburg.
As part of the Mirror Labs project of HSE University St. Petersburg "Perceived Quality of Communication in Real and Computer-Mediated Meetings and its Objective Measurements Using Oxytocin and Facial Markers," SCILA is conducting a school aimed at fostering interdisciplinary dialogue in solving scientific and applied tasks.
The six cases proposed for consideration within the program are very different from each other, and we hope that the participants in our school will be just as diverse. All cases are prepared by research teams and will be tackled by participant teams as they require expertise in very different areas. Therefore, there are no restrictions on specialty or level of education: students, postgraduates, and researchers are invited to participate.
Participants will learn to use LLM models for data annotation and content analysis, formulate cognitive psychology measurements in the language of computational linguistics, apply open AI models for emotion and movement recognition to analyze human states and communication quality, integrate behavioral data into psychometric models to assess psychological characteristics, measure oxytocin concentration in saliva, and use textual, behavioral, and neurobiological markers in their research.
