If you would like your future dissertation project to be carried out at our laboratory, you are welcome to send your CV and a short motivation letter outlining your research ideas and indicating your field (sociology, psychology, computer science) to our address: linis-spb@hse.ru. The admission rules and other official documents for postgraduate studies are available here; foreign citizens may apply for postgraduate admission on a quota basis.
It is best to contact the laboratory at the beginning of the academic year preceding admission to postgraduate studies. This provides an opportunity to participate in the team's activities and to prepare a portfolio for the Olympiad, which is held each spring and offers the chance to receive up to 100 points for the subject-specific entrance exam. The postgraduate entrance examinations are held in September.
The laboratory supervises dissertations in the following specialties:
Computer Science (postgraduate studies), supervisor – Koltsov S.
Sociology (postgraduate studies), supervisors – Koltsova O., Mararitsa L.
Psychology (applicant), supervisor – Mararitsa L.
Graduate students and applicants are employed to the laboratory as research interns or junior researchers and have access to the lab resources, including equipment, data, and team support. As a rule, graduate students participate in the lab projects.
