SCILA at the CMSTW'2021
This year SCILA was presented by Kirill Bryanov and Victoria Vziatysheva at the international conference "Comparative Media Studies in Today's World"
On April 20-21, the 9th international conference "Comparative media studies in today's world. Communication architectures" was held online. This year's conference was devoted to the analysis of global communication and journalism in a comparative perspective - this topic was able to attract a wide range of scientists in the field of social sciences, communications, computing disciplines and the humanities.
SCILA researcher Kirill Bryanov made a presentation at the session "Political polarization and the debate structures". Kirill presented the results of a poll experiment that showed the asymmetric effects of balanced or one-sided coverage of a socially important topic on the perception of objectivity of news media by respondents of different political views.
