We are happy to announce SCILA Summer School in Experimental Methods & Simulations in Social and Cognitive Sciences!
The EMS-SCS Summer School will be held on July 13-22, 2021.
On July 13-22, 2021, the Laboratory for Social and Cognitive Informatics will host an international summer school in experimental methods and simulation for social and cognitive sciences.
The Summer School will be held in a mixed online/offline format, designed to provide full learning experience to students attending virtually and physically alike. The school will bring together a strong international lineup of academics with a track record of excellence in experimentation and agent-based modeling in fields as diverse as cognitive and social psychology, sociology, media studies, and psycholinguistics. The program will include courses and workshops aimed at both enhancing students’ conceptual understanding of the foundations of experimental research, and equipping them with hands-on experience in designing and executing experiments of their own.
The school is designed to accommodate both seasoned scholars of social and cognitive sciences looking to sharpen their methodological skills, and early-career researchers who are relatively new to experimentation and simulation. Advanced Ph.D. students are also welcome.
Information about participation fees, along with application instructions and travel- related details can be found on the School website: https://hse-scila.github.io/ems-scs-2021/
